Cookie Time

Kate's Cookies

Kate decided she wanted to make cookies, so she did. She added 1 cup of chocolate chips and 2 cups of peanut "M & M's". I did try just one and I have to say, they were VERY yummy.

Charlotte's Special Day

Another birthday, another banner!

I did like making this though, even if I have made rather a lot of them lately...

More cards

A few more...

Here are a few more cards that I made last week, or the week before.

Just playing really and trying lots of different styles.

I made this one in a few different colour combinations and used a sissix stamp and die set I picked up a couple of weeks ago.

I must have had cupcakes on the brain....

Don't get much simpler than this! But you could use lots of different colours on this one. Rainbow, pinks, blues or autumn colours. Then stamp the card at a later date when you need a card at short notice.

Coffee anyone?

Time for a coffee

I made a couple of cards on the theme of coffee.

The first one is going to be used for Starbucks Coffee vouchers, which I  will pop into the brown bag on the front of the card.

The second one was using a Stampin Up! stamp, which I have been looking at for a while and wanting to use. Very simple little card, but not everything needs to be a masterpiece.

Lucky me!

April Challenge

These are the cool projects I recieved from Mum and Dawn last month.
If you remember I sent them both Owls.

Dawn made me a lovely bag with matching purse. Perfect to take with me on my summer holidays.

Mum knitted me a great scrarf, which I may not be able to use for a few months, but then again iIam going back to the UK in August... thinking about it, it may come in useful!

Cat scratcher

It's a cat's life... that's for sure!

I just wanted to share with you the cat scratcher Chris finished off this week.

The ones in the shops were so expensive ($150+), that he used off cuts of wood, bits of carpet (from dumpster diving!) and some great natural cord/string from the hardware store.
Not bad is it, well the cats like it...

Teacher Appreciation Week

Thanking Our Children's Teachers

This week was TA week! So everyday the kids have to mark the day by making or doing something special for their teachers... This included making them a card, wearing their favourite colour, or writing them a poem.

Friday was bring in a gift, so I made some special gifts for the teachers.

Gum ball machines

These were made from just a flower pot and a wooden ball which i glue gunned onto a small glass vase. I think they may have cost around $5-6, including the gum balls.

Apple cushion

I made the apple cushion for one of the teachers, as I know she collects all sorts of apples. I'm not sure if it's just that fact that I've had 2 teeth out recently, but sometimes when I look at this cushion it reminds me of a tooth, not an apple!!

Chairs and table runners

Taking a break from cards...

I have made so many cards the last couple of weeks, I decided I needed to do some other things crafty.

So I recovered my kitchen chairs and made a couple of table runners.

The fabric I used to cover my chairs was from KAS.
